Abstract Submission for 2009 IIGC *New

Poster Session Abstract Submission
The Scientific Program Committee of the International Imaging Genetics Conference invites the scientific community to submit abstracts of their current research to be peer reviewed and considered for inclusion in the scientific program as poster presentations. All accepted abstracts will be published on the conference website. The poster sessions are an important aspect of the scientific program as they promote greater interaction between the researcher and other scientists.

The online abstract submission form (which is the only method of abstract submission available) is now open and can be found at the link below. There is no fee required to submit an abstract for the 2009 conference. Abstracts are limited to a 300 word maximum and must be text only with no figures. Full submission details are clearly displayed in the Call for Abstracts document above and should be followed closely. The deadline for submitting and abstract is August 29th, 2008. Authors will be notified by October 15th, 2008 if their abstract is chosen for presentation at the 2009 International Imaging Genetics Conference.

Upon entering the system for the first time, you must create a profile. This will allow you to submit your abstract. Once you have created your profile, you may submit an abstract. The online system will prompt you for each of the required abstract elements, including:

  • Title of abstract
  • Information on presenting author
  • Author information and affiliations
  • Text of abstract
  • Selection of topics
  • Keywords
  • Identify all abbreviation

Abstracts must be organized into the following sections, each of which will be prompted by the online system:

  • Aim of Investigation
  • Methods
  • Results
  • Conclusions

Acknowledgments: Acknowledgments should include grant support (including grant number) and disclosure of any financial relationship the author(s) may have with the manufacturer/supplier of any commercial products or services related to the work reported in the abstract. Items to include are: research support, consultant to a company, speaker list, company employee, or any other form of financial interest or support. Please indicate "None" in the Acknowledgments box if this disclosure information does not apply.
